Become a Mentee


Mentee’s Eligibility Requirements

  1. Be enrolled in High school
  2. Obtain parental/guardian permission and ongoing support during your participation in the program
  3. Complete the screening process
  4. Demonstrate a desire to participate in the program by submitting a Mentee application (see below)
  5. Be willing to abide by Mentor N Motion program's policies and code of conduct
  6. Commit to spending a minimum of four hours a month with your mentor
  7. Be willing to communicate with your mentor using video conferencing
  8. Agree to a one-year or the duration of a mentoring session commitment (TBD)
  9. Agree to attend mentee trainings as required by the program
  10. Be willing to communicate regularly with our program coordinator to discuss mentoring activity information quarterly or as needed
  11. Participate in feedback surveys

Mentee’s Code of Conduct

  • Do your part as it will enable you to get the most from this experience
  • Notify your mentor ahead (at least 1 day in advance) if you cannot meet your commitment
  • Be mindful of your mentor’s time
  • Be conscientious 
  • Attend events (training, webinar, meetings, etc.)
  • Take Notes
  • Enjoy your experience
  • Share your ideas
  • Suggest training needs and refer other youth and mentors to the program


  • Perform all the tasks assigned to you
  • Attend all schedule meetings
  • Adhere to the rules set by the program

  • Ask Clarifications
  • Make sure you understand what you need to do
  • Make sure your mentor understands your needs

Mentee, parent or guardian, before you submit a mentee application, please familiarize yourself with the following:

Enables you to understand all the activities that will take place during the mentoring session.

Allows you to learn what is expected of your child/protégé and you.
